This is my rookie year at elk hunting, and I got my tags in the mail a few days ago. Since I'm no pro, and I want to just learn this trip (and save some cash), I opted for the cow tag.

Hope everyone else is as excited about me for the upcoming season! Hopefully this is the first of many trips to CO for elk!

good lord.. another texas road hunter, Colorado already has enuff of you guys. I'll be sure to wear 100% hunter orange and body armor. Texans are know as shoot at whatever moves and feel sorry about it later.. lol just messing with ya! I couldnt help it.. Just make sure u know the difference between a moose and an elk.
