thanks again! i never shot anything bigger than a whitetail and most of that's been with a bow.so aim at the same spot as if i'm archery hunting. i'm not much of a gun hunter.

Just behind the sholder - don't ruin theroast with a shoulder shot - you dont need to eat the lungs.

Heck it will do more then hold up it could end up breaking both shoulder if your using about 180 grain bullet. Seen those bullets go right through moose when shot in the lungs. Thats the same bullet i use for elk and moose and it does the job just fine. But like what everyone else is saying aim for just behind the shoulder and that shot is better then a shoulder shot any day. Good Luck!

Took a spike elk right through the neckwith a 150 grain Partition in a .270caliber Last Nov.

The nosler will do great for you. As stated, aim for the double lung shot. However, if you end up having to take a shoulder shot, the nosler will do great anyway.
