I am very interested in big cat hunting, but have never collected a jaguar. Does anyone out there know of any jaguar outfitters, as they are legal to hunt in bolivia, equador, and guyana.

I personally think it would be neat to hunt jags, but I don't know if you can import them through customs. As for hunting in bolivia, it is trophy hunting of cattle-killers, not just any cat. It is a shame that, in Latin America, almost all of you hunts are done on Argentine ranches, there is very little hunting of wild big game down there.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

I do not know of any guided jaguar hunts available. It would be great to hunt a jaguar although they are currently not importable into the US. Some of the best hunting stories that I have read are about hunting jaguar in Mato Grasso. If you get a chance to read about a man named Sashmiel(sp?) he was one of the most famous tigeros to hunt jaguars with a spear. He was taught to hunt jaguars with a spear by an old native hunter. I believe Capstick's book Sands of Silence has a chapter on this man.

There's a bit of info on this site.

Looks like you can do a dart and release type hunt, and that this is endorsed by S.C.I.
