I have 2 bear rugs at a taxidermist in Edmonton, does anyone know how much the shipping charges should be to New york----I think Im getting robbed at 180.00 CAD. If it helps the size of these bears were approx. 350 lbs& 450 lbs (as per the guides).

Your asking if 180.00 CND (about $160.00 USD) is too much to ship 2 bear rugs from Alberta to NY?????? Is there a customs charge that's included???

It would cost you more than that in fuel to drive there and get them yourself!

Call a shipper where you live and ask them how much it would cost to ship that much weight to Alberta and see what they say....

We shipped 2 sets mule deer antlers, 3 sets antelope horns, 3 mule deer capes, 2 antelope capes, 2 antelope hides for life size mounts and a week's worth of dirty underwear adding up to around 60 lbs from Montana to Pennsylvania and it cost $65. Two bear rugs at 800 lb for $160 sounds cheap to me.
