Everyone who entered or wants to enter this years bear contest please use this thread to submit pics of your bear along with the dressed weight. Once submissions start coming in I will edit this post so people are aware of the current standings. I know a few people in the contest already have a spring bear so get your pic submitted so I can post your name and weight on the leader board.;)

I got this guy on 9/22 in Wisconsin. He feild dressed at 242 pounds. I got him with a rifle.

Killed this bear in ColoradoSeptember 2nd. Could not bring him out whole so I can only estimate dressed weight atover 300lbs. The head and hide alone weighed 94lbs on a scale.Bear squared at 7'2" and will likely make B&C all-time.

No way am I deleting the post;) We're all hunters here and enjoy seeing each other's successes. Just because you missed the deadline doesn't mean you can't post a pic and be proud of a successful hunt. People enjoy checking the thread and looking at the pics. Congrats on a nice bear.

i know i am not a member of the contest but i thought that someone might like to see a pix of the bear i shot yesterday we put it on a set of scales and the weight was 305 without the insides in it i know it is not a very good pix

Is there a 2006 big bear contest? We harvested 280 and 400 pound spring bears in 2005. On April 5, 2005, the bear in this photo weighed about 400# (live weight) and his hide was 6'8".

Say - try reducing the size of your photo before you load it. On your computer, place your curser on the photo and right click your mouse - then hit properties. The size of the photo has to be less than 100kb to load into your message. Hope that works.

We don't get spring bear here in MA... only fall. I have to wait till Sept. to fill my tag this year. I have never gone on spring bear hunt. Someday maybe, but we have such nice bears around here that I don't think I would go anywhere than here. 3 for 3 now...

Ever wanted to be on a Hunting Show? We are doing another Waterfowl and Black Bear show again.

nice bears i have never gone is it easy?? when your not using like an outfitter?? like on public land?

ive also wondered about the public land hunting for big game animals, around here there is only deer and am very interested in hunting other things, i just cant imagine it being like deer hunting
