It's in the air... it's time to go hunting. 1 week from today I'm heading to the deer opener.. 4 days later, elk opens up. Ahhhh.. I can smell it!

August 30th is my magical date, I will be heading up on my birthday which is the 29th.

Yes I can smell it. The cool fresh air is starting. I’m looking forward to this season but it won’t be for a little while.

Yes, it is that time, I leave on the 19th for a combination stone sheep/caribou hunt, been doing the stair machine with my backpack fully loaded, I think I am ready, can't wait to see the tops of the mountains once again

I am starting to get the shakes...hopefully they will subside in about a month!

Monday... Moose and then like 2 weeks later everything opens elk, deer and such... iam stoked

i think its in the air. couple nights ago, i was out at 5 in the morning and i could see my breath. starting to see some decent muley bucks. everybodys talking elk around here, and were all leaving around the first of september.
i seem to be more anxious every year...

About 3 1/2 weeks for me. September 8thcan't get here soon enough for me. Its still hot and steamy down here in Missouri, but fall is on the way.

Sept 1st for me. I was packing my gear over the weekend, and trying on some camo. My wife thinks I crazy.
