Do youself a favor and book a hunt in alberta or B.C.There are more bears ,you are allowed two per year and you know you will have a hunt.Sitting and waiting for ontario to change their laws will probably leave you without a bear hunt.

The political wind seems to be changing in favor of a return of the spring hunt. However, a spring election is also likely so don't expect to see anything until after the election...wouldn't want to piss off the tree huggers before the election you know. If the existing government is returned with a majority my $2.00 is on the spring hunt being reinstated. And Stubblejumper, as for numbers of bears, we got so many here now they're lined up at the donut shops and strolling the streets of some of our major (northern) cities as bold as brass. That was only a slight exageration. gg.

You're not too far off of the truth. Near Wiarton, bears have gone into peoples kitchens looking for food while the people are watching TV in the family room.

You don't have to go to Northern Ontario to find Black Bear, supposedly and say supposedly there was one sighted crossing a golf course in NewMarket, Ontario about half hour north of Toronto.

Chances they get it reinstated will be short too none. The tree huggers still have allot of money backing them. I think we have a better chance of getting a two for one tag, fall hunt.

I hate politics...
