RE: Colorado Draw elk tags
Got my "either sex" rifle elk tag for the first season (what I call a "bull tag," though I could shoot a cow on it) --- perfect!
Now all I need to do is pick up a cow elk tag in the "leftover draw" later this summer. My area is underharvested so it should be a snap and then I'll be all set for this fall's "elk harvest" with two elk tags.....
Then, just in case, if I end up shooting a critter "for someone else" (ala Spyro's hypothetical "party hunting" situation from some time ago), then it will be all nice, legal, prim and proper and that extra little ole piece of paper should keep all the humans (in the field, back home, and on the 'net) satisfied with the deal!
We usually have 2 to 4 "double tag holders" in our camp each year and each year most of the secondary tags are never used (money goes to a good cause though), but from time to time it comes in sorta handy.

Just a Preference point for me. I should have enough PP's for a elk muzzleloader tag in unit 26 next year. I can't wait, I will be taking a friend who has never been out West nor hunted elk. It should be a great time.
