Just curious longhunter... How big of an area(s) do you hunt. Do you ever run out of squirrel? Seems like ya'll must have a huge population. Keep stacking them up!

I have about a dozen or more good hunting spots, anywhere from 80 acres to a 180 acre pecan grove. I live in a small town of about 4000 people, lived here my whole life, worked a the local farm store for about ten years and was the T&L service manager at the local wallyworld for about fifteen so it"s kind of hard not to know about everybody. Pretty easy to get permission to hunt, and yes there are lots of squirrels.

I took my ruger single six .22mag out this morning for a walk. Didn't see anything. But I love these cool, early fall mornings.

My season doesn't start until October 17th.

And Team 3 already has 36 squirrels.
