Welcome MLH, Washinton is beautiful, we used to visit when I was a kid living in Vancouver.
Go ahead and read thru the thread, then add a bit more about yourself.

Hey Hoosier, sorry for my Canadian ignorance but they don't teach us this stuff in school; which state is the hoosier state?

I am in my early 30's. Before moving to Moses Lake, WA I lived in the panhandle of Nebraska and learned to hunt turkeys in the Black Hills. I have turkey hunted in NE, SD, WY, and WA. My season starts April 15th. The area I will be hunting is still under snow. Scouting will be hard this year because of the hard winter and large snow pac in this corner of the state. This could turn out to be an advantagefor me. I havesome low elevation land I can hunt and most of the other hunters will be stuck in the timber at higher elevation. We will haveto see.

Every year I try and introduce as many quality people to the sport that I can. I don't collect a guide fee, I just do it because I enjoy seeing the momentsomeone becomes a life long addict. I have 2 guys that have never shot a turkey that will be going with me openning weekend this year.

thanks hoosier, but it "Eh", not "Aye"
Except out east in Newfoundland where they say "B'ye"

I haven't been out to look for my lost blind yet, but a good buddy did just give me an Ameristep Doghouse for my B-day. We went to the Toronto Sortsmans show and I got on his back to buy some stuff so he wouldn't have to borrow my gear anymore, he shut me up by giving me the blind he bought. Not as nice as mine that blew away (hopefully I'll find it in the bush), but it'll keep the rain off my head.

Still 5 weeks to wait for me.

Thanks Dave. I was just looking at some of your deer pictures. It makes me miss the mid-west.
