RE: Team #10!!!!!! Check In Here!!!
Well guys I finally got one on 5-16 @ 1:35. Found him the day before on some heavily hunted public land. He was one of those field turkey's. Liked to hang out in the middle of this big hay field. I watched him Thursday around noon for 2 hours. Hemilled around out in the field, he finally crossed a fence line to get to a CRPfield. Friday,I went back to the same field about noon, I snuck up on the field and saw he was there again. This time I crawled around as close as I could to the spot he crossed the fence the prev. day. I layed there on my belly for an hour watching him. Finally he started working my way, He was quartering towards me. When he got as close as I thought he was going to get I shot. It ended up being a few yards farther than I usually shoot, and I will shoot them out to 45 yards. Conclusion.......Dead Bird.
21 lbs. 4 ounces , 10 1/8 " beard, 1 3/8" @ 1 5/16" Spurs.
21.25 + 13.75 + 13.125 + 20.25 = 68.375

RE: Team #10!!!!!! Check In Here!!!
Just filled my 6th period tag this morning, he's not going to be bigger than my first bird, so no need to score him.
9 1/2" beard and 3/4" spurs. I have not weighed him yet, But I'm thinking right around 18 lbs.
Got within 60 yards of were he was roosting, and he pitched down right in front of the barrel @ 30 yards.
Every once in while........ it's that easy!
After puttingin120 hours of turkey hunting between my three seasons, and calling for my brother and my wife the season is officially over.
