Well, my season is over. Unfortunately no bird for me. On Sunday, I had a chance to connect on some Jakes, but I had a real nice gobbler about 100 yards away, that just would not come in. He was as hot as he could be, gobbling at everything I threw at him. But for whatever reason, he just wouldn't get any closer. I think it was the decoys that he just wasn't sure about. The lack of movement probably kept me from bagging him. He finally met up with a hen and put on one heck of a display for her. She finally came into the decoys, but he was still hesitant. He got within about 60 yards, but that was it.

Sure was fun though.

Congrats, Ultra Tech. Looks like the bird will score as follows:

15 + 8 + 5 = 28"

great job!

Ok I measured my turkey
19 lb
9" beard
1/2 spur
3/8 spur

Not the best bird that I've shot but not a bad bird. I was starting to think this might be a long season lol.

Attaboy car. Scoring will look like this:

Weight 19
Beard 9" X 2 = 18
Spurs .500 + .375= .875 X 10= 8.75

19 + 18 + 8.75= 45.75

Good job car.

Couple of other success stories from the season so far. The first one is my neighbor.
