I have no dog in this hunt, but one thing I would add...if you truly only want to help the seller w/such a post, make it a PM, not a public post. That will allow him the opportunity to see your opinion and make his/her own mind about what to do w/it. I have done this myself on a couple occasions and it was much more well recieved. It at least assures no other agenda or the impression that you are trying to encourage others not to buy.

You have to admit, now those that might have been willing to pay the orig. asking price now will pass so they don't seem.....well, Stupid, for lack of a better term.

Again, not trying to offend, just as those that posted say you aren't. Just offering a more palatable alternative.
