I personally don't mind the changes to the yardage we will be shooting next year but I do feel that it will discourage a lot of woman from competing in this class. We have a small enough class as it is and it is hard to get woman interested in traditional archery. Most local clubs set their courses up with closer yardages and it will make it difficult for most woman to compete at an IBO Shoot. Why should they have to shoot the same distances as someone with a compound bow with sights. A lot of woman shooting traditional are only pulling 35-40 pounds. As far as practicing for hunting, most game is taken from 20 yards or less with a traditional bow. I think IBO needs to get back to the reason they exist in the first place. BOW HUNTING!!
