RE: gun value ?
Go to several gun shops and find out what a new one sells for(the rings come free w/ the gun on rugers by the way). If you look at the gun CLOSELY and cant tell ANYWHERE,ANYWAY, that the gun was fired or used you can probably get 80-85% of new price(the buyer can save taxes,background check fees, ect...) If the gun is in excellent shape but has a few nicks, blueing rubed on barrel a little expect about 70-75%. I think that ruger 77s list for mid $400's to $500.
