Are you looking to do a guided or preserve hunt, or just want to know where land is available? If you are looking for Kansas public lands, checkout:
http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/hunting/...IHA_Atlas.html
This is land that the state leases from farmers for the sole purpose of public hunting. I'm sure other states offer similar programs, however Kansas doesn't require any permits or charge any fees. You just need the appropriate license, tags, and stamps for the particular game you are after.
Another tip is to check the site I linked you to and read the upland game forcast (when it becomes available) to get a feel for how the hunting looks for this season. We've had several dry years and it has hurt the pheasant and quail populations.
However, if you are more inclined to do a preserve hunt, I'd recommend Ravenwood Lodge (
www.ravenwoodoutdoors.com) in Topeka and ask for the owner Ken. I have had good hunts with him in the past, in fact the best method is to hunt an area after one of thier European hunts. You'll be walking all over birds...
Happy hunting <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
