RE: Zeiss Conquest binos
Ditto on mine. I bought a pair of 15x45 last summer and they worked FLAWLESSLY this past season. On a muley/lope hunt in WY back in Oct they really showed their stuff. Several times my guide used them because it had gotten to dark to see with his ancient (but trusty) ol 20x Bushnell spottin scope. I think for the money, the clarity, light gathering ability and their AWESOME light weight I just don't think you can beat the Conquest line of binocs.
During most firearms season I am a LOONG range hunter and have optics for just such use, thats why I went with the 15x45 Conquest. When in the woods or small plots less than 250yds long I typically will carry a 9x40 Bighorn Steiner pair I have. I also have two high quality compacts that I alternate, a 8x25 Zeiss and 8x25 Optlyth. They are used solely for bow and turkey hunting (I like to keep in them in my breast pocket). But if a customer were to ask me for only one pair of binoculars for ALL AROUND use for less than $500 my pick would be the 10x30 Conquest. They are almost compact sized, extremely lightweight and manueverable and perform like you wouldn't believe.
Thats my .01/2c,
