Default The truth about xbow's

The true sport of Archery (recurve or compound).............and the ability, form, and requirements, to achieve exceptional levels of skill is what sets this discipline apart from crossbow shooting.

Bone to Bone alignment, power triangles, the floating of a sight under holding weight, stance, draw length dynamics, back tension, the release explosion, target panic and all its maladies, the feel of the grip and a proper hand position. The ability to relax ALL muscles but the correct back muscles to hold 20 or so lbs of weight and hold as rock steady as possible.......................................... ..............The proper draw, that allows everything to start in its correct position, as tension is transferred through the abs and triceps into the deep rb muscles, the challenge of shooting up hill and down hill with proper form and not letting the angles reek havoc on your game

These are all the intricate parts of what makes ARCHERY such a great and challenging sport - bowhunting or target..................and the TRUE core of what separates "Shooting Bows" from shooting a crossbow.................

In honesty a crossbow has NOTHING in common with a compound...that goes further than its strings, wheels and an arrow............................................. .........

And if you see that as enough to make them the same...............................then you are missing what the sport and discipline ARCHERY is about......................

Period
