To answer that question , I'd stick with fixed heads for two reasons.
1. They work well with my 55# recurve (for those traditional moods) , I wouldn't use mechs with my recurve.
2. If I would happen to injure myself to the point where I need to decrease my poundage considerably , I wouldn't want to be stuck with mechs.

To answer that question , if the flight AND on game performance were the same (meaning I could use the mech on any large game with same results or no worries of kinetic energy with my recurve) , I'll take the mech. Why? They do fly better than fixed (high windage) and I like the baseball size hole they leave when exiting.
