Geez I have seen moose shot with 270 and up, unless you use a rapid expansion bullet or hit heavy bone the damage is not great! I'd stick to the 180's you have worked out now and put in the bread basket...only loss will be a little bit of intercostal rib/flank meat which amounts to little less ground but nothing worth worrying about!
