Default RE: GSP Jumping and nipping

What I did was when my dog jumped up on me I would raise a knee up and say "NO". As the dog jumps up your knee should contact the chest lightly. This is not comfortable for the dog and the dog will get right down. I don't mean strike the dog in the chest with your knee only raise it gently so her chest hits your knee and it keeps her paws from touching your mid section. Once again it is not hitting or kneeing the dog only a raise of the knee off the ground till your upper leg is parallel to the ground.

It works wonders, have other people do the same when she jumps on them then she will learn that not only is it not okay to jump on anyone else either. If she doesn’t get it at first repeat every time she jumps up on you, she will get it after several times of being met with that knee instead of a loving hand.
