Default RE: Adequate loads for calf moose?

I THINK NOBODY SHOULD THINK OF SHOOTING A CALF MOOSE WITH ANYTHING LESS THAT A .300 WIN MAG, AND FORGET THOSE WIMPY 180 GRAIN BULLETS, GO WITH AT LEAST 200 GRAINS!

Oh, sorry, for a minute there I flashed back to that post that's 1000 pages long and still going strong (although most of what's in it is pretty weak).

A new list of the perfect hunting round for the EKM types:

Grizzly/polar bears - 20 mm Vulcan (just find a fighter jet and rip the sucker off the wing)

Alaskan moose - .458 Mag, .460 Weatherby (be sure to use the heavier bullets)

Elk - .375 H&H Mag, .416 Rigby for brush (.300s will work if you're recoil conscious)

Deer, antelope, coyotes, etc. - .300 Win Mag, of course (why leave anything in the bag)

P.S. I saw a whitetail doe taken with a .458 once. I think even EKM would approve; it killed her pretty effectively. She looked like somebody put 20,000 volts through her.
