How could I have walked through this earth for the rest of my days, not seeing how the crossbow is the better choice compared to all the other bows.
It's not about being better it's about giving people the oppurtunity to make the choice rather than have you make it for them. It's about getting people out into the woods during archery season. It's about bringing people into the sport and giving those a chance to enter that maybe wouldn't have been able to otherwise. It's about removing obstacles from entry into bowhunting.
Its so effective, and so efficient, I am giving up my comound bows, selling my recurve, and buying this magnificent tool named the crossbow.
That's great if that's the route you want to go. In the end, the amount of challenge your prefer to take on should be just that, your preference.
Not through a tactful approach, but rather through persistance, and claiming I am right, refusing to take no for an answer!
Sometimes people are hard headed just for the sake of being hard headed and it doesn't matter what approach you use you just can't through to them. No matter how hard you hit them with the reality stick it just doesn't sink in, in those cases you can only resort to persistance and hope that at least your level of dedication my cause them to revisit their predjudices.
By God, Im going to have all inferior weapons banned. Compounds, recurves, longbows. I see no need for using them when the technology just isnt there.
I will ban fish hooks for their inhumane methods. We shall use nets from so forth. Nets are much more efficient! I should be able to catch five times the amount of fish I caught before with those silly hooks and bait.

It was nice to chat with some people so passionate about their weapon of choice though. Oh wait, you guys hunt with recurves....silly me...It was nice to talk with some fellows so passionate about other peoples weapons of choice.
With hunters doing the job of the anti's and lobbying against other hunters, you should be glad that some of us care enough about hunting and the other hunters out there to stand up and fight for them not against them.

I couldn't have said it better myself Matt. It's just a weapon to kill deer with guys it's not a personal attack on your manhood. Don't begrudge those less fortunate than yourself the oppurtunity to share in the same joy that you do because of foolish pride.
