Looking at the new Hunters recurve class it appears that there are now two recurve classes but the equipment restrictions are different, The yardage has been increased though.

It looks to me like the equipment is the same. The only difference I see is that the RU class will now allow string walking, face walking, which is an advantage if you are able to master it and in the RU class you can shoot off a rest/plunger. Also the RU class and the new RH class should state recurve only and not recurve/longbow as longbows have their own class. It will be interesting to see how this class divides out next year. Its great that they are changing the max. yardage for the cubs and creating a new class for Youth Traditional. I hope to more young archers this year shooting traditional equipment.
