RE: Hornady A-Max Bullets
You might go to a website called TTHA.com. I had a computer crash about 6 months ago and lost a lot of stuff - including this article.
As far as comparing the A-Max to the V-Max . . . . there seems to be a delay in the A-Max's rapid expansion that the V-Max doesn't have. I have sectioned these bullets, and the A-Max's (at least the .224 and .243 ones) don't seem to have an air pocket behind the plastic tip like the V-Max. I'm not sure what the A-Max would do on varmints - would suspect that it start expanding just as it exited.
