Default RE: Neck shots with bow

Pretty ris-kay, IMHO. Even for the best of the best with a bow. The turkey is almost always moving, especially its head. This changes neck position, even if only marginal. A split second after the arrow is underway and you've scored a miss. Worse yet, you've quadrupled the chance of injuring the bird. [&o]

Factor in that your launching a single projectile traveling at nominal hunting speeds (under 280 fps) vs. multiple pellets from a shotty buzzing along toward the neck at 1200 fps +, and you've got a recipie for problems. Do the bird justice and aim for the wing butt / body when using archery tackle.
