One scope I think that would work very well for your 243 would be the 6-20 x 40mm or the 4.5-14 x 40mm Weaver Grand Slam. For some reason this brand of scope gets no recognition for it’s quality and clarity of optics. I have the 6-20 and works very well for my 22-250. I was very impressed on how easy I can dial the power ring compared to all my other scopes.
