Thanks GS, I guess for proof I am going to have to wait for the season. NH has a youth turkey weekend, I have two boys, last year my two bowhunting partners called one for each kid. I had my then 11 year old, sitting between my legs, while an 18lb, 9.5 inch beard was called into about 20 feet for him, it was AWESOME!! This year I will be calling for one of the boys for the first time ever.

I have little to go by for what it "should" sound like. My hunting partner is self taught on calls and says its close.

The youth models I got are quaker boys "mini mag" I got a 4 pack cause both my boys wanted to try it. The 4 are: Double (normal double) Triple(normal triple), OldBoss Hen (double where one of the reeds doesn't go the entire width) VCut (I think a triple with cuts in it). They do all sound different.

We also picked up the Primos Freek with frictionite and its easy to get everything including a purr from.

My "hunting" plan was to use some combination of yelps with the mouth and freek, then as he comes in have the freek in my lap purring (can't do that with the mouth), but until he's close use cuts, purrs and yelps to keep him coming.

Make sense? Assuming we find a bird of course [&:]
