To all of you who still don't believe a crossbow is a bow. Are you telling me we should just disregard what the dictionary defines as a bow and as archery just because it dosen't fit your argument?
To add to my own quote.
If I told you a tomato was a vegetable because it looks like a vegetable and tastes like a vegetable and therefore should not be considered a fruit peroid! I don't care if it has the same basic makeup as a fruit, and I don't care if the dictionary says it's a fruit, I'm going to disregard that and still say it's not fruit because It dosen't look or taste like one!...... Well in the end the tomato is still a fruit and that just can't be changed.
I hope my little "tomato that could" story made some sense to some of you who are too thick headed to let yourself come to the realization that no matter how much you don't want a crossbow to be a bow because it dosen't function like YOU preconceived it should, by definition, it still is.
