You claim that the xbow is less effective than a compound, yet there seem to be a majority who believe the xbow is infact more effective.
If you are correct in your claim that the xbow is less effective (which I don't doubt you are), these people that think it is more effective are going to pick one up under these false assumptions and end up taking shots at deer from distances beyond the xbow's effective range. Result: wounded deer.
