flat feet - you've never hunted with a recurve or you'd understand how much more difficult it is to draw on a deer with one of them as opposed to using a compound. Not unlike the difference between a crossbow and compound really. BTW - my blaze orange never spooked deer.
Why 1/8 to compounds and 1/8 to crossbows? How about we split it up equally?
Compound hunter numbers and succes vs trad of course. Compounders and crossbowers would kill more in 1/4 of the season than trad guys would in 3/4 of the season.

A gaurantee ? No - but what we can assess is that a crossbow in general archery season has never resulted in anything negative before. That trend will, in a ll likely hood, continue too.
The way I understand it WI has the longest bow season in the U.S. running from sept 15th
Arkansas has Oct 1st - Feb 15th - and we allow crossbows !!!!!!!!
It doesn't effect me or my hunt today but it could tomorrow. If there are seperate seasons and they introduce crossbow to a state that has never allowed them it can show them first hand if there will be problems. If they start out with a one month crossbow season and by the second year the crossbow season is producing twice the numbers of regular archery season then they have the problem pin pointed. By just throwing it in the general season theres no way of knowing who shot what with what weapon besides maybe a question box on a tag and relying on the honesty of everyone isn't good science.
Ohj geeeeeeeez, quit enough with the scaring little kids tactics. What you fear has NEVER come to pass before, why sould your state be THAT much different ? And honestly, compounds alread do the very thing you fear anyway if you'd just admit it !
Ahh yes I do! Depends how you look at it. Some people called it evolution of the bow. Some people actually shoot compounds because they love technology and they get a charge out of it.
But not according to you huh? EVERYONE who chooses a compound does so because it's sooooooo easy compared to traditional. Being one who started out trad and still dabbles in trad I can honestly say your arrogant attitude gives trad hunters a black eye!
Like I said, you want YOUR easy, you want YOU choice, you want YOUR technology and YOUR charge .......... but dammit if you'll let anyone else have theirs.
And that is what gripes me most about anti-crossbow people. Its do as I say, not as I do mentality. And thats also why I throw in the banning of compounds because secretly, a little part of me would LOVE to see the whining if that ever happened.
Anyone that is trys to say the crossbow and the compound are in line to make some money on the deal,or they would not be pushing it so hard.
