So the guys asking "is my 270 good for elk?" are now going to be handloading 150 grain Barnes XLCs?
Yeah why not? Most of the guys I know take there hunting very seriously, and half of them reload. Why should they have to go out and by a bigger gun if they have a .270?
Tell a guy... use a 270 w/ a 150 grain premium bullet and he'll think you are sending him on a wild goose chase after the 3rd gun shop telling him that they don't have it.
I know the 2 gun shops I frequent here in PA both have .270 in grand slam or barnes 150s, and if they dont they will within 2 weeks.
