To add the list of good loads already suggested, here are a few of my pet loads for this gun:

300 grain T/C Shockwave 130 grains of Pyrodex Pellets (two fifties and a thirty)

410 Hornady Great Plains MMP Ballistic Bridge sub-base 120 grains of 2F Triple 7

These are magnum loads for big animals like elk, moose, and bison - probably overkill for deer in the eastern hardwoods. Not fun to shoot from a bench, either. Roscoe
