Muzzleloaders for Turkey?
Hey guys,
Just wanted to get your opinion. Turkey season starts here Georgia tomorrow, and I was shooting the breeze w/ a buddy about about gear and tactics. He mentioned that he'd been out shooting his muzzleloaders. Let me replay the conversation from there.
Me: "Muzzleloader huh, I didn't know you bought a muzzleloading shotgun"
Buddy: "I didn't, I'm taking the 50 cal. black diamond, and I'm hunting a big field. If one comes within 100 yards, he's mine"
Me: "Is that legal?"
Buddy "Yep sure is, and you can even use scopes. Go check the regs."
So I went and checked the regs and he was rights, it is legal to use a muzzleloading RIFLE and a scope. I'm just curious if this is legal in other states. And what do you think about he ethical implications? I just takes away from the challenge in my mind. I'd like to know what the rest of the turkey hunting world thinks.
