RE: Chuck Adams
Kenny..think before you speak.
He never did what chuck did huh?? If were alive today he would have surpassed what chuck has done.He was dedicated to the sport more then anybody I have ever heard of. Did you bother to read his tributes that I posted alink to???? He did alot for only being alive 44 years.
He was the third bowhunter in the world to achieve a grand slam of sheep ( and the first and I believe the only one using a stick bow) and had money been no problem, would probably have been the first. However, being first wasn't all-important to him, since his reason for sheep hunting was simply a great love for hunting them. The best of his four species would each rank at least in the top 10 ( the world record grand slam with a bow). He had taken a total of seven sheep.
In Africa he took what would be the world record cape buffalo, if he had ever officially entered his trophies. Being extremely humble, somewhat shy and feeling it could change a person's priority for hunting, he entered very few of his multitude of P @ Y caliber trophies. He didn't feel it was wrong it just wasn't his reason for hunting.
While In africa he also saved his Guides life while he was being mauled by a Lion, paul shot her thru both lungs as she was attacking the guide.
You obviously dont know who Paul Brunner is either, excpet for what he post. I got the privilige to spend some time with paul after he almost life this past year in a cabin fire while hunting muskox. Paul told us many stories about his early bowhunting..he used to shoot compounds...anyhow he's done many great things for bowhunting also, but like many great bowhunters they dont feel the need to make everything public.
