Default Weaver and Warne base height

Hi,
As you can see, I'm new to this forum. I think it's great. A lot of good information here. I've already searched through this forum for powder, bullet, and primer recommendations. (That can get confusing!)

Now, I recently purchased a Knight Bighorn muzzleloader and am looking to mount a scope on it. For rings and mounts, I've been looking at QD rings like the ones from Warne, Burris (Zee), Leupold (QRW) that mount to Weaver style bases. The bases I like are the steel ones from Warne, Weaver (Grand Slam), or Leupold. However, with all of the ring dimensions that the manufacturers publish, they do not publish any base dimensions. I need to know the height of the base (from the top of the bottom arc to the top of the base).

Now, I'vd called Warne and I've called Weaver. Warne said that the dimension was .150" (I thought this was way to thin) and Weaver said this dimension was .396" (I thought this was way to thick). Now I really don't know whether to beileve what I was told or not. I would have thought the dimensions would be similar.

Does anybody know what these dimensions are or have these bases and can measure?

Thanks for the help!!!
