The 6.5 is to moose hunting in sweden and Finland as the 3006 is to moose hunting in Ontario. The 6.5 is blessed with excellent sectional density and penetrates more than many more modern rounds. I would think nothing of taking " ANY" moose with one up to 250 yds. Use it and don't worry about it. But why are you only hunting calves?
