hey center and the question is yes ive taken numerious deer witha marlin neck and heart shots all travled no farther than 20 yds. a 30-30 is leathal under 100 yds in my book, it is one of my favorite cartridges ever. toped with good scope u cant go wrong, 150 grn winchester bullets were my favorite load for my marlin.good shooting.1shot
