NH does allow crossbow's for handicapped people .. they just can use them in the Firearms season.
So handicap people cannot enjoy archery season in NH ? Kids and women too weak to pull whatever legal poundage NH has is SOL ?
Why can't women and youth archey hunt again??? They are to weak to draw back a bow? Well, in order to hunt with archery equipment it requires practice to become proficient with a bow. With practice, muscles are developed and with proper form very small framed people, women and children even , will develop the strength and skills neccessary to kill cleanly with a bow. In order to hunt archery, unlike with crossbows, there is no very simple answer if you "can't" do it. You must put the time in to become proficient, and if that means working on building strength and form .. then yes, I am saying small children and some weaker women will have to put in some effort to archery hunt.
As far as the handicapped.... I have thought about this a lot. I wouldn't want a true archer to miss out on archery season. It is ok, in my opinion, to expect if you don't shoot with archery equipment, that being a bow and arrow, you don't get to hunt during archery season. If a person only gun hunts, but want to hunt during muzzleloader seaosn, well guess what .. that person needs to go out and buy a muzzleloader .. or borrow one, but shooting a different, but similar in characteristics weapon isn't an option. Back to the handicapped .. well, they have options. If it is a shoulder or arm issue .. try this-

Now if the person is restrained to a wheelchair-
I guess my point is, the disabled have options. If it came down to their handicap being so challenging that no type of archery equipment was an option .. I'd say that person probably shouldn't be hunting archery. Waiting till gun season is their option. If they want to enjoy the woods, but are so disabled they can't shoot a bow like the woman above with only one arm and no legs .. then they can get out into the woods and scout in their motorized wheelchair for gun season.
