Default RE: I AM SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL!

I'm new to Bowhunting and there is one thing that has bothered me about some of the videos that I have seen.

Many of you talk about the arrow making a complete pass-through at up to 30 yards.... & substantial penetration with some of the arrow sitcking out at up to or over 50 yards.

What I have yet to hear about on this board are the time that I have seen on the videos where better than 80% of the arrow is sticking out of the deer (on the side where the arrow hit).

You see the animal launch itself into the distance with the arrow shaft and fletching bouncing & waving goodbye to the camera.

You never see them tracking the deer - even in the aforementioned situation. Does the arrow really penetrate engugh to make a kill, or is there someone else helping out with the kill?

I understand that they have all sorts of producers and employees to track the animal down, but it just doesn't seem that the arrow penetrated far enough to have killed the animal.

Just an observance & point of curiosity.

No flames please - I leave that pleasure for the wife.....<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

&quot;It's not the kill, it's the adventure and challenge! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>&quot;
