After posting in another thread that Reid was a not to be trusted socialist, I read your post with great interest. I must say I liked his wording. If I have to eat some crow with my elk I will do it in the name of hunting. BUT - a "reaffirmation" is still empty, do nothing legislation that is easy for him to support with little to no commitment. A "reaffirmation" is dangerous because it implies to judges that laws and rights are not meaningful unless we confirm them - a very typical liberal "give me your money and I'll take care of you" attitude.

Based on your letter I am going to do some of my own digging into what Reid's about, with an open mind. For now I still believe the bill is a do nothing bill at best, and a dangerous one at worst.
