Default RE: Anyone striper fish on hudson river?

I can not wait until the stripers arrive I also am always looking for info on stripers I have found on the outgoing tide to run a slide sinker with about a foot of leader off your main line and drift south with the tide pulling your bait through the schools. I also fish from north Albany south to Selkirk. With the eels put a layer of ice in your bait bucket than a hand towel long enough that it will cover the ice and go up the sided (you don't want the eels getting under the towel to the ice), cover the eels with another hand towel. This will make the eels sluggish and easy to handle. But don't worry once the eel hits the water they will be very lively.

Good luck this year
