It is personal preference. I for one am finding that a very narrow grip isn't the most comfortable or repeatable for me. Don't get me wrong, I shot the Xtec last year well enough to kill two deer without problems, but I still did not have the consistancy on the range that I was looking for. The Allegiance grip is a little wider, but hand placement for me is easier to find consitantly with this grip.
