My favorite is northern pike.I also love steelhead fishing in the streams on light line,4-6 lb test.My biggest fish would have to be a 20 lb or so northern pike.I have caught a 24 1/2 inch largemouth bass and lost an even bigger one.My strangest catch was a 21 inch walleye in a bass pond in Ishua NY.No net and light line,I managed to land it.I love to fish but don't get out as much as I used to.For a fun time,I love to go for the stocker trout on opening day with a 3 1/2 ft microlite rod and 4 lb test.I use rooster tails and a 15 incher feels huge.Looking forward to a couple of weeks and opening day.I hope the DEC gets out and stocks for opening day.
