Default RE: Climbing Tree Stands for tall hunters ?

Sag.,

I am somewhere between 6'3"-6"4" and 230-240 lbs. I have no problem with the API Bowhunter since it is a typical two piece climber. Seat height is not an issue as it can basically be determined by you once you reach the desired level in the tree. The foot platform length is somewhere around 29 inches long and that seems to suit me just fine. You can buy the obtional footrest for it but I never saw the need to.

You did ask about stands but you didn't specify whether you were just talking about climbing stands or hang-ons as well. In case you are interested I picked up one of the Cabelas Trophy Lite 2 hang-on stands last year to replace an older model Trophy Lite. It is rated to 275 lbs with a 25 inch x 24 inch platform. The seat height is around 22 inches if I remember correctly. Pretty roomy and since it only weighs 10 lbs it is a breeze to carry and setup.

Hope this helps.
