Default RE: Passin the Buck

I tried my damndest to stay out of this one.

My point is simple, IF we could educate the general hunting crowd to the advantages of QDM then there would be a LOT more of them in EVERY state!
For those that shoot only mature bucks for the challenge aspect of the sport , wouldn't the above mentioned goal if succeeded take some of the challenge away? Sounds like quite the conundrum.

It's funny.... a "meat hunter" is only a meat hunter UNTIL a TROPHY walks by!!!
Not sure what you mean by that? I've always considered myself a hunter who's main goal is to put meat in the freezer and have fun doing it. I've had many "trophys" walk by over the years. I shot one and either missed the opportunity or flubbed on others and I still consider myself the same hunter I was when I started.
Are you saying a "TROPHY" doesn't have meat?

Answer this simple question please.
Is it acceptable (in your mind) for hunters to shoot several doe (or what's legal in your area) each year before shooting a young buck? No matter the age/experience or geographical location of the hunter.
