QDM?

Always practice what you want. There are areas out there where monsters live. Bottomline you can't shoot a monster unless you hunt where one lives! In NC they shoot everything that moves. I don't care they can do it. I have my eye on several places that this year(it took 6 yrs) I know have good potential. Never stop scouting and never over look the little woods that lead to big woods.

I personally always scout but limit it to near neighborhoods. Just this week while discussing my hunting tactics with customers, I saw light bulbs go off. They made comments like "I always see deer while checking my mail". Most places only require permission within 150 yrds to bow hunt. Other places may not allow hunting within city limits but either hunting with a bow will trump that or the city will stop some where with feeder woods out. Learn where they are and socialize with people. While you do that find out where they live and every now and then you will get lucky. You will find they either live in a place you want to hunt or know someone. Someplaces I've been waiting 10 years to hunt others I have been hunting for ten years. BTW it does help when deciding where to live.

When you find these places hunt smart. You won't screw up the patterns even of the biggest buck. It will come down to being at the right place at the right time.
