Default RE: wal-mart guns

Welcome to the forum Buckmaster9
I’m formerly known as Buckmaster7. My account was recently banned due to anti-religion posting.

No they created them for the so-called working man that frequents Walmart ie Todd1700
Are you suggesting Remington sought after an easy on the pocket rifle? That was exactly my point. From your other posts, I got the impression that you thought it was Wally World’s fault:

Yes Walmart buys in larger quanitities to get a break on price. Manufacturer has to make more guns and faster to supply Walmart and find ways to make his gun cheaper in order to be able to sell that volume, that means hiring more people and increasing facilities, at this point Walmart has them by the ahem.
Are you suggesting manufacturers can’t produce high quality rifles in large quantities? Hello! These are mass produced items. Remington can produce higher quality products (if they had a desire to), but that would cost them.

oldelkhunter, I see eye to eye with you, the Remington Model 710 is rubbish. However, Remington created the 710 to compete with Savage. Nevertheless, the Savage is still better and within the same price range. I don’t see why anyone would select the 710. Heck, Mossberg has their Model 100 ATR which is undeniably better and cheaper.

Part II the spartan lineup per some magazine I read last night will be sold exclusively by Walmart.
What magazine?

By the way, oldelkhunter, I’m fascinated in knowing why the Remington Model 700 was superior twenty years ago.
