Glad thats the case at your local gun store. Most of the employees at the ones in my area don't know any more than the Wal-Mart people do. And most of the gun stores try to push you towards what they have in stock or what they want to sell. Two out of the three in my area couldn't be bothered to even order me a Tikka T-3. Instead they started telling me how Tikka's weren't any good and tried to show me something they already had. I hate that. I know what I want and I don't like being treated that way. The Wal-Mart employees don't care what I buy or order. They just say "yes sir, and sell me what I ask for"
I have been in a number of gun stores in Alabama and have found the selection and prices just as good if not better then my local dealers..Maybe you hate gunstores, maybe they look at you and say here comes another Walmart shopper . As far as ordering a Sako Weatherby MKV that is fine ..where do you go look for them and try them on except at a local gunstore you don't think pathetic WallyWorld has them there to look at . BTW where do you buy handguns ? Does Pathetic Wally world handle them. So let me guess you go to a well stocked gunstore pickup the guns and try them out and then run to Walmart and buy them?
I can order either at Wal-Mart. Whats your point?
The point DUH is I can buy them at the same price or cheaper .
Not hiding. And it wouldn't do you any good if you were any closer anyway. There is nothing you would or could do
Oh boy I am really Skeered now
No, because they wouldn't sell 2 a year at most of their stores. As I stated before Wal-Mart kinda gears itself toward average folks and most average folks don't spend 1200 dollars on a rifle
You would no soon find a Sako or any fine gun in a Walmart unless they made one specifically for Walmart which based on their current demand is not likely. I am sure Sako wants to make 1.00 profit on any of their rifles, oh yeah listing their guns in Walmart would be instant prestige..
Oh please. Now it's Wal-Marts fault anytime a gun company produces a gun model thats a cheap POS. I'm 39 years old and trust me, cheap crappy guns have been around way longer than Wal-Mart
Not their fault they are a POS but they have POS made by companies that suit their market . Still having a problem understanding what I say.
You may pay too much for a rifle but I have bought more rifles then you have hairs on your head and I don't overpay for anything.
oldelkhunter, what don’t you understand about quality? Each manufacturer has different classes of scopes. For an example, take a look at Bushnell’s Sportman scopes and their Elite series. The Leupold Rifleman scope is of poorer quality compared to their other scopes.
Last time I looked, Gander Mountain was selling BSA scopes. They’re made in China. I also have a Winchester knife made in China. I suggest you take a look at your shoes. You’re so oblivious; many items are made in foreign countries.
Really I didn't realize that thanks for enlightening me.
oldelkhunter, I guess you missed out on Wally World’s clearance on some rifles
Listen Buckmaster9( BTW are you related to Jackie Bushman

) Really thanks for enlightening me now go back to your deer video game. I buy rifles at walmart and they are Remingtons for their actions which get shipped out and worked on ..I have yet to see a clearance gun worth anything at Walmart not that I am in the store with any frequency. Just when their chewing gum is on sale
Remington created the 710 because they wanted to compete with the Savage lineup. Some people can’t manage to pay for the higher price rifles, so they buy less expensive ones. The Model 710 fills a niche that has been begged to be filled for rather a lengthy time now.
No they created them for the so-called working man that frequents Walmart ie Todd1700
Part II the spartan lineup per some magazine I read last night will be sold exclusively by Walmart.
People refusing to pay it. Free market economy. They are other large chain stores out there that would pounce in a second if Wal-Mart jacked up it's prices too high. And I just don't understand why Wal-Mart is the only company that catches this heat. What effect do you think a Lowes or Home Depot has on the small hardware stores in a town they come to? Yet I don't hear people saying, "oh my God what will we do when Lowes is the only place we can buy a hammer."
I am in partial agreement on this one Todd I dislike Lowes and Home Depot and Kmart equally . If I go into a store and want to buy 2 carriage bolts why do I have to buy a 24 bag at Home Depot or Lowes.
Man you guys are hard on Oldelkhunter . OEH like all of us are entitled to our opinions. If you agree or not makes no difference
RR thanks for the words but these 2 can say what they want..the day Walmart stops selling guns lets see how many small stores pop up to sell guns.. I can almost say without reservation not many.
BTW guys I am done with this topic to those that love Walmart continue shopping there I will limit my purchases to motor oil and chewing gum.
