I was kinda hoping we could discuss this thread without the arguing there fellers.
About the poll.If I would take the first 20 hunters I know and run a poll it would give these results.
18 out of 20 disagree with the present deer management system
But of those 20 19 would be satisfied with the overall job the PGC is doing.
We have gamelands in this state that are open to us for hunting anytime we feel the urge to hunt.The PGC has some good youth hunt programs.They also are trying to extend seasons and hunting oppertunities.In some cases like deer,too much.
Believe it or not they do habitat improvement on those gamelands with the little time,tools,workers,and money that they do have.
So if you seperated the issues between the overall job they are doing and deer management the results would greatly vary.Put them together and you'll end up with mixed results.Take deer management out of the poll completely and a very high percentage would support the PGC and their job ratings.Use deer management only and I believe the ratings would be very low.At least this is what I find in my little corner of the state.
